The 2008 SEATA Athletic Training Student Symposium will be
held Feb. 8-9 at the Crown Plaza Ravinia Hotel in Atlanta, GA.
Ray Castle, PhD, ATC, of Louisiana State University is the
Workshop Coordinator. R.T. Floyd, EdD, ATC, of The University
of West Alabama is the Competencies in Athletic Training
Director.

Due to a capacity enrollment there will be NO onsite registration.
Only those pre-registered will be admitted.
All three Tracks are currently filled. As cancellations occur or if
seats are added registrants on the current waiting lists will be
added to their desired track based upon time and date of
registration. No more additions to the current waiting list will be
taken.
Education
Two simultaneous sessions
will be offered (college students freshman through graduate
level), both beginning at 8:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8
and ending at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. The sessions are:
Session I:
Foundations of Athletic Training Workshop (open to all
athletic training students) Session I is separated into two concurrent tracks based
upon the students level athletic training. For

for pre-athletic training & 1st year students)

Research
SEATA is calling for Case Study Abstracts authored by
athletic training students. The student authors of the
top four abstracts will be chosen to present.
A faculty or staff person from the institution of the
student submitting the abstract must
be a co-author and must have been directly involved in the
medical treatment/care of the clinical case.
Submissions selected for formal presentation will provide a
5-8 minute summary of their
case study at the symposium during a general session.

Registration
Advance registration for the symposium is $70. To qualify for
the pre-registration price, online registration
