Educational Meeting Deadlines

23rd Annual SEATA Athletic Training Student Symposium Deadlines

To qualify for the 23rd Athletic Training Student Workshop pre-registration price of $70, pre-registration forms must be submitted electronically via http://www.signup4.net/public/ap.aspx?EID=SEAT26E by Friday, January 25, 2008 or postmarked via www.seata.org/08atssreg.doc by Friday, January 18, 2008.  Individuals who have not registered by the established dates must register on-site for $85. Registration is limited in each session.  Based on availability, registration on-site will posted as “AVAILABLE” on the symposium’s website, and will be on a first-come; first available basis.

Rooms at the Crown Plaza Ravinia must be reserved by January 25, 2008 to ensure the $102 room rate by calling the Crowne Plaza at (770) 395-7700 or (800) 554-0055.  Identify yourself as being with the SEATA Meeting.

Case Study Abstracts authored by athletic training students as detailed at SEATA Call for Case Study Abstracts authored by athletic training students for 2007 Annual Athletic Training Student Workshop and must be submitted through a web-based survey form that can be accessed at www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=801782632925.

2nd Biennial SEATA Athletic Training Educators' Conference Deadlines

To qualify for the 2nd Biennial Athletic Training Educators' Conference pre-registration cost of $150, pre-registration forms must be completed online at http://www.signup4.net/public/ap.aspx?EID=SEAT25E by Friday, January 25, 2008. Individuals who have not registered by this date must register on-site for $195.  Registration will be limited to the first 175 registrants due to meeting space capacity. Online registration will be available via the SEATA website in October  2008.

The SEATA Research and Education Committee is issuing a call for abstracts for poster presentations at the 2008 Biennial SEATA Athletic Training Educators’ Conference.  Individuals interested in sharing original research and or other scholarly works in any area of athletic training including, but not limited to, original research, didactic education, professional development, technology for the clinician/educator, and other areas related to the conference theme, are encouraged to submit.  Abstracts will be evaluated based upon relevance to Athletic Training Education, clarity, completeness, methods, results, and appropriateness of findings/conclusions, among other criteria.  Go to www.seata.org/CallforAbstractsEdConf2008.pdf for more information

33rd Annual SEATA Clinical Symposium & Members Meeting Deadlines

To qualify for the 33rd Annual SEATA Clinical Symposium & Members Meeting Meeting pre-registration prices registration forms must be submitted online by Friday, February 15 or postmarked by Friday, February 8, 2008.  Individuals who have not registered by the established dates must register on-site.

Presenters must email all materials to Carl Mattacola, Research & Education Co-Chair, by February 1, 2008.

The NATA is now accepting proposals for workshops and clinical sessions to be held at the 2008 NATA Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposia in St. Louis, June 17-21, 2008.

To submit your proposal for 2008 workshop and clinical session programming, fill out the online Workshop Proposal Form or Clinical Session Proposal Form on the NATA Web site at www.nata.org in the Annual Meeting section. Hand-written proposal forms will not be accepted.

THE DEADLINE FOR WORKSHOP AND CLINICAL SESSION PROPOSALS IS JULY 15, 2007.

The NATA Convention Programming Committee will evaluate all workshop-and clinical session proposals, and will select those for educational programming at the 2008 NATA convention in St. Louis.

NATA & SEATA Membership Dues Deadlines

The membership year is January 1 through December 31. Annual membership fee renewal invoices are mailed each year on November 1 and are due no later than January 1. After February 15, individuals who have not renewed their membership are placed on suspension. Suspended individuals who do not renew their membership by September 30 are removed from the NATA membership records.

Individuals who let their membership lapse and then rejoin NATA will be charged a $25.00 application processing fee ($15.00 for student applicants). This fee is non-refundable.

The annual membership fee consists of a national fee and a district. Both fees must be paid in full each year. The annual membership fees are listed on the back of the application form and must be submitted with the membership application. The National membership fee is prorated every four months for new members. If a membership application is denied, the annual membership fee will be returned to the applicant.
Members will be assigned to the district that corresponds with the mailing address maintained for them by NATA. Students are required to use their permanent home address for their NATA membership. All others are requested to use their work address.

• January issue deadline is January 1.

• July issue deadline is July 1.
• October issue deadline is October 1.
